PRN Kennel Assistant

Position Overview
- The Kennel Assistant supports and adds value to an efficient organization dedicated to quality care and exceptional service. This position supports veterinarians and technicians in their daily tasks by cleaning and maintaining equipment; feeding, exercising, restraining and handling pets.
Key Responsibilities
- Walking dogs
- Ability to oversee multiple dogs in an outside setting for playtimes.
- Providing fresh food and water.
- Cleaning animal waste, spilled food and other debris from kennel.
- Checking dogs/cats in for boarding, playtime, and daycare.
- Taking animals to and from the kennel.
- Bathing
- Be able to read body language and/or signs of aggression.
- Ensuring safety of everyone.
- Assisting other hospital staff.
- Clean, fold, and stock kennel laundry throughout the clinic.
- Confident in handling animals.
Qualifications
- Experience working at a kennel or animal hospital

Schedule:
- Monday to Friday; 7:30AM-6PM minimum one weekday shift per week; weekend shifts and holidays
- Weekends Shifts are as follows: Saturday from 7:30AM-2PM; 4PM-5PM and Sunday from 8AM-9AM; 4PM-5PM
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Cumming, GA 30041: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
