Veterinary Technician Supervisor

PetVet Care Centers' AnimERge is currently seeking a Veterinary Technician Supervisor to join their team!

We are a 24-hour emergency hospital looking for a veterinary technician supervisor who is energized by growth, improvement and team development.

This role is ideal for a seasoned technician ready to move on to the next career phase. We are looking for someone who enjoys building systems, supporting teams, thrives in a highly collaborative environment and wants to help shape the future of our hospital.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Supporting patient workflow and patient care quality
  • Mentoring and coaching technicians and assistants
  • Partnering with hospital leadership to improve operations, communication and culture
  • Help develop and implement new processes and training standards
  • Leading by example
  • Assisting with equipment management and maintenance
  • Assisting with inventory management
  • Direct ER and ICU patient support
  • Surgical and anesthesia assistance

Qualifications (Required)

  • A minimum of 3 years of Full-Time emergency and critical care experience in fast paced environment
  • Must have advanced nursing skills such as the ability to monitor and treat critically ill patients, place NG tubes, operate O2 cages and perform basic and advanced drug calculations
  • Must also be able to provide surgical support such as patient induction, monitoring anesthesia and patient recovery
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of supervisory or lead role experience managing schedules, workflow, providing team training and overseeing daily team responsibilities

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

  • Credentialed tech preferred but will consider applicants with advanced skill set and experience
  • RECOVER certified, Fear Free certified, and leadership training

Schedule

  • 5-day workweek. Rotating shifts, including some weekends depending on hospital needs. Occasional overnights may be required.
  • May have some flexibility with overnight shifts but candidate must be able to work rotating mid-shift hours.

Pay Range
$37$38 USD
