Position Overview

Join our team as a Veterinary Receptionist (Care Coordinator) who contributes to the success of a high-performing organization committed to delivering superior care and exceptional service. Performs a range of administrative and customer service tasks, providing valuable support to the hospital. Within the veterinary field, this position aligns closely with roles often titled Veterinary Receptionist, Customer Service Representative, or Client Care Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provides excellent customer service in-person, over the phone, and during high-stress situations.
  • Manages lobby flow, addresses concerns, calms distressed owners, and schedules appointments.
  • Handles basic medical emergencies for pets and owners, ensuring safety and well-being.
  • Assists with medication pickups, inquiries, and provides information about services and products.
  • Inputs and manages data in practice management software, including billing and accounts.
  • Assists with retail sales, weighing pets, processing faxes, and maintaining records.
  • Reconciles cash drawer and performs end-of-day duties for accurate financial transactions.

Qualifications (Required)

  • Minimum 1 year of receptionist, customer service, or administrative experience (veterinary, medical, dental, or animal care setting preferred)
  • Experience answering multi-line phone systems and managing high call volumes
  • Experience scheduling appointments and maintaining accurate records
  • Experience handling client payments, invoicing, and basic cash management
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks and priorities
  • Experience providing professional and compassionate customer service

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

  • Previous veterinary clinic or animal hospital experience
  • Familiarity with veterinary practice management software such as Avimark, ezyVet, or Cornerstone
  • Basic knowledge of animal health, breeds, and common veterinary terminology
  • Experience working with animals or in an animal care setting

Schedule

  • Open for Full Time and PRN schedule

 

    • Full time is 4 days a week at 10 hours a day, or as needed 10 hour shifts
    • PRN schedule can be coordinated as needed. Full time will require regular set of schedule - to be determined

Pay Range
$21$26 USD
