Position Overview
Join our team as an Emergency Technician Supervisor who reports directly to the Hospital Manager and provides leadership and oversight to the emergency technician and medical support teams during assigned shifts. This role partners closely with the other Emergency Technician Supervisor to ensure seamless operations and exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Team Development
- Supervise and support emergency technicians and medical staff
- Provide performance feedback, coaching, and mentorship
- Enforce hospital policies and maintain professional standards
- Address team or operational concerns proactively and confidentially
- Operations & Patient Care
- Develop and manage staff schedules to support patient care needs
- Monitor workflow efficiency and minimize overtime
- Perform technician/assistant duties as needed
- Oversee inventory, cleanliness, and departmental readiness
- Collaborate with hospital leadership to ensure smooth emergency operations
Required Skills & Competencies
- Clinical Proficiency
- Laboratory procedures and medication calculation/administration
- Venipuncture, catheter placement, and intubation
- Anesthesia support and radiography
- Patient monitoring and physical assessments
- Accurate medical record documentation
- Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology and emergency protocols
- Leadership & Professional Skills
- Staff scheduling and workflow management
- Performance coaching and team development
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced emergency environment
- Professionalism and confidentiality
- Qualifications
- Veterinary Technician Registration (or equivalent experience)
- Demonstrated proficiency across core veterinary technician skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (assistance required for larger animals)
- Ability to stand or walk for 10–12 hour shifts
- Comfortable working in high-stress emergency situations
- Flexibility to work extended hours when needed
Schedule: Rotating Shifts, 2nd Shift
- Week 1 - Monday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
- Week 2 - Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
