Position Overview
Join our team as a Surgery Registered Veterinary Technician who supports hospital operations by providing dedicated quality veterinary care and exceptional service to our patients and clients. Responsibilities include providing patient care by determining animal requirements, conducting examinations and diagnostic procedures, assisting during surgery and operations, providing nursing care, assisting with feeding and caring for patients, maintaining medical supplies and equipment, overseeing triage and discharging patients, and maintaining patient medical records.
Our surgery nursing team partners closely with our surgeons, supporting all aspects of surgical and patient care—including elective, emergency, and specialized procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnostics and surgical assisting
- Anesthesia administration, monitoring, and intervention
- Patient recovery and client education
- Venipuncture, catheterization, surgical prep, lab sample preparation, and more
This is an excellent opportunity to expand your skills in a teaching-focused environment while making a meaningful impact on pets and their families.
Schedule: 4-day work week with rotating shared on-call.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of veterinary anesthesia experience - induction, administration, monitoring, and recovery
- Current licensure in North Carolina as a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-centered environment
- Positive can-do attitude
- Strong work ethic and organizational skills
- Able to sit/stand for long periods; occasional bending/kneeling; lift up to 40 lbs unassisted
- Solid foundational technical skills (venipuncture, catheter placement, lab work, anesthesia, pharmacology)
