Position Overview

PetVet Care Centers is seeking a highly analytical and experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join our Corporate Finance team. This role plays a key part in driving financial planning, analysis, and strategic decision-making across Corporate HQ and field operations within a growing, mission-driven veterinary services organization.

The Senior Financial Analyst will lead budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes, provide actionable insights to senior leadership, and partner cross-functionally to influence business performance. This role requires strong financial modeling expertise, business acumen, and the ability to translate complex data into clear, strategic recommendations.

This position offers high visibility with senior leadership, ownership of key financial processes, and the opportunity to directly impact enterprise-wide financial and operational outcomes. Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Analysis
  • Lead the development and maintenance of complex financial models for budgeting, forecasting, monthly close, and long-range planning
  • Own and deliver weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reporting packages with clear insights and executive-level summaries
  • Conduct in-depth variance analysis versus budget, forecast, and prior year; identify key drivers and provide actionable recommendations
  • Develop dashboards, KPIs, and performance metrics to monitor business trends and operational performance
  • Drive scenario modeling and sensitivity analysis to support strategic initiatives, investments, and business decisions
  • Proactively identify financial risks and opportunities, and recommend mitigation or optimization strategies
Business Partnership
  • Act as a strategic finance partner to senior leadership, providing insights that influence decision-making
  • Collaborate closely with FP&A, Accounting, and operational leaders to ensure alignment and accuracy of financial data
  • Support enterprise-wide initiatives, including cost optimization, revenue growth, and EBITDA improvement efforts
  • Present financial results, forecasts, and strategic insights to leadership teams in a clear and compelling manner
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior analysts, fostering development and best practices
Process Improvement & Systems
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial planning, reporting, and forecasting processes
  • Lead automation and standardization efforts to enhance efficiency, scalability, and data integrity
  • Leverage financial systems and BI tools to streamline reporting and improve data accessibility
  • Identify and implement best practices in financial analysis and reporting

Qualifications (Required)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
  • 4–7+ years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or corporate finance
  • Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills
  • Expert-level proficiency in Excel; experience with complex models and large datasets
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with experience supporting senior leadership
  • Hands-on experience with financial planning and/or BI tools (e.g., Solver, Tableau, Power BI, Adaptive, Alteryx or similar)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, lead projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to translate data into strategic insights and business recommendations

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

  • MBA or other advanced degree
  • Experience in multi-location or multi-unit organizations
  • Background in veterinary services, healthcare, retail, or services industries
  • Prior experience mentoring or leading junior team members

Pay Range
$90,000$105,000 USD
