Veterinary Technician
We are looking for an energetic, detail-oriented, Veterinary Technician to join our great team. Someone willing to go the extra mile, giving our clients and their pets the best experience.
We are a veterinary clinic open Monday to Saturday. Our part-time veterinary technicians work 10 to 30 hours per week, 8 -10 hour shifts during the week and weekends Saturdays are 4 hour shifts, for which we are open until noon.
The position includes room technician duties, obtaining patient history, performing TPR, reading animal behavior, providing patient care, calling/emailing/ texting clients, conducting examinations and diagnostic procedures, monitoring anesthesia, assisting during surgery and operations, provide nursing care, maintaining medical supplies and equipment, oversee triage and discharging patients, filling prescriptions, maintaining patient medical records, and helping with front desk duties.
Experience with Avimark software a huge plus. Strong communication skills are a must. We currently have one open part-time position, (Saturdays are required) and we may consider full-time for the right candidate. Candidates with CVT, RVT, LVT are preferred. Fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese an added bonus.
