Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Medical Oncology Technician to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced specialty setting and is passionate about patient care, client communication, and oncology medicine.
New England Veterinary Center & Cancer Center in Windsor, Connecticut, is a leading specialty and oncology hospital providing advanced, life-saving care through a highly skilled and collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist the veterinarian with oncology appointments, treatments, and procedures
- Safely prepare and administer chemotherapy in accordance with safety protocols
- Monitor patients during treatments and provide attentive nursing care
- Perform venipuncture, catheter placement, and sample collection
- Process lab work and maintain accurate medical records
- Educate and support clients through treatment plans and home care instructions
- Maintain chemotherapy safety standards, including proper handling and disposal
- Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality patient care
Qualifications
- Applicants must be 18 years of age or older to be considered for this position
- At least 1 year of Veterinary Technician experience required (CVT/LVT/RVT preferred)
- Previous experience in oncology or specialty medicine strongly preferred
- Strong technical skills, including IV catheter placement and anesthesia monitoring
- Excellent communication and client service skills
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Compassionate, detail-oriented, and team-focused mindset
Schedule: Monday-Thursday from 8am-6pm (Full-time)
