Reception Supervisor
Reception Supervisor
Position Overview: Responsible to ensuring courteous and efficient client service at the hospital. Create a welcoming environment for our clients and patients. Manage phones, payment processing, insurance requests and reception supervision. Retail area and prescription diets are also managed by the reception staff. Work as part of the reception team.
Essential Functions:
- Supervise receptionists, including hiring, evaluating and enforcing policies
- Schedule receptionists as per staffing needs.
- Address client complaints, escalating issues to the Hospital Manager
- Manager insurance requests and transactions
- Process refunds, returns, credits and payment plans
- Prepare end-of-month reports
- Manage social media accounts to promote the hospital
- Manage community outreach
- Serve as back-up to hospital manager
- Perform other assigned tasks by hospital manager
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Familiarity with veterinary terminology and protocols
- Proficient in teamwork and customer service
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills
- Experience with multi-line telephone systems
- Attention to detail, excellent communication skills
- Supervisory and staff scheduling abilities
- Basic math skills for cash handling and accounting
- Strong interpersonal skills
- At least 2 years working in a medical front office setting, veterinary preferred
