Emergency Veterinarian - Western Carolina Regional Animal Hospital & Emergency

Western Carolina Regional Animal Hospital & Emergency Hospital is a combination primary care + emergency and critical care practice seeking an Experienced Veterinarian (emergency focused) to join our amazing team!

The Hospital is an AAHA accredited and VECCS Level 2 Certified Emergency and Critical Care facility and is well equipped to allow you to practice the highest level of care.  On a tour of our hospital you will find in house labs, digital radiographs (including digital dental rads), endoscopy and laparoscopy capabilities. This position offers a unique opportunity for lifestyle balance: practice state of the art veterinary medicine and live in the recreational and cultural center of the Southern Appalachian Mountains.

We are located in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains between the beautiful towns of Hendersonville and Flat Rock, North Carolina.  There are an incredible number of outdoor opportunities here: hiking, mountain and road cycling, rock climbing, paddling, fishing and camping.  Life is a little bit slower in the mountains, so there is time to sip your coffee at a local cafe or enjoy a beer at one of the NC micro-breweries.

At Western Carolina, we take the health and well-being of our employees seriously, offering flexible working conditions and encouraging a well-rounded work/life balance. We offer a great compensation package with a competitive salary, health insurance, 401K, PTO, generous CE allowance, additional PTO for CE, and reimbursement for membership and license fees.

Qualifications:

  • Veterinarian degree (DVM) from an accredited college or university.
  • Current State Veterinary License.
  • DEA registration must be obtained and maintained.
  • Five plus years of experience in a veterinary practice.
  • Must demonstrate a desire to continue learning in veterinary care and participate in leading staff training.
