Cash Reconciliation Analyst
Position Overview:
The Cash and Reconciliation Analyst partners closely with the Senior Accounting Manager to play a pivotal role in hospital payment reconciliation activities. The Analyst will build subject matter expertise in BlackLine, and develop proficiency in the matching of hospital location payments to the associated merchant processor and bank deposits. He/she will also play a significant role in using this tool to reconcile various cash accounts, including Deposit in Transit. This individual will also assist in the support of daily treasury operations, primarily by administering user access across multiple banking and payment processing platform. Further responsibilities include supporting PetVet’s controls in the cash management framework, and assists the Senior Accounting Manager in driving efficiency in the company’s payment and banking processes. Finally, the Analyst will provide support as needed to the Tax team in the timely filing of federal, state, local, and property tax returns. Occasional support may also be required for tax audits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly payment and cash reconciliations—using BlackLine to identify exceptions, and coordinating with PetVet Accounting and Operations to resolve issues
- Maintain detailed audit trails for all cash and payment activities; ensure compliance with internal policies, SOX requirements, and banking covenants.
- Serve as liaison between treasury, IT, Accounting, and banking and payment processing partners to troubleshoot system issues, implement upgrades, and document process changes.
- Support banking and treasury database records, tables, and updates.
- Prepare and analyze monthly cash management reports, forecast short-term cash requirements, analyze banking fees, and support the development of rolling cash forecasts.
- Support special projects such as bank account openings/closures, signatory updates, and treasury system implementations.
- Manage personal property tax processes including calendar tracking, filings, payments, audits, and coordination with external providers.
- Support federal, state, and local tax filings, income tax provisions, and multi-state sales and use tax compliance, including audits and special projects.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field, or demonstrated progress to completing same.
- 2–4 years of treasury, cash management, or banking operations experience. Consideration will be given to candidates lacking such experience with exceptional aptitude
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel; especially PivotTables and Xlookups, familiarity with treasury management systems (TMS) or ERP cash modules helpful by not essential.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and ability to reconcile large volumes of transactions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.

- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with SOX controls and audit processes a plus.
