Position Overview

Reporting directly to the assistant controller, we are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join our team. This role requires expertise in financial reporting, month-end close processes, and account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all financial operations. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical abilities and a commitment to maintaining the integrity of financial records. We are looking for a self-starter than is able to collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute month-end close procedures, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Prepare and post journal entries to maintain the general ledger.
  • Perform account analysis and detailed account reconciliations of various balance sheet accounts.
  • Conduct ad hoc financial analysis to address specific business needs.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial operations.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement within accounting workflows.
  • Support audits by providing required documentation and explanations.
  • Prepare formal quarterly balance sheet analysis and present to the accounting leadership team.
  • Assist in the preparation of the quarterly and annual financial statements.
  • Drafting various footnote disclosures in the Company’s quarterly and annual financial statements.
  • Engage in ad-hoc projects including those related to audit deliverables, operational reporting, etc.

In addition to standard duties (month-end close, financial reporting, audit support), this job has a focus on impairment and valuation:

  • Participating in the performance of annual goodwill and other intangible asset impairment testing.
  • Performing annual trigger impairment tests for assets (e.g., long-lived assets, goodwill, and intangibles).
  • Liaising with third-party valuation firms, coordinating deliverables, and reviewing their inputs and assumptions.
  • Partnering with FPA on the analysis of financial data, historical results, and long-term forecasts used in valuations.
  • Preparing related accounting memos documenting the impairment assessment and valuation conclusions to ensure compliance with US GAAP/FASB guidelines.

Qualifications (Required)

  • Bachelors’ degree of accounting required
  • Two to five years of public / private mix of accounting-related experience
  • Understanding of internal controls
  • Experience with ERP systems

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

  • CPA or CPA track preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365

Pay Range
$95,000$115,000 USD
