Position Overview
PetVet Care Centers is seeking an experienced Data, Systems and Enablement Lead to support the Pricing and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) teams in designing and implementing scalable data management, transformation, and reporting solutions. This is a dedicated finance role requiring fluency when interfacing with accounting/finance/FP&A team. This role will build data architecture, drive automation, and deliver business-facing insights that directly support financial decision-making and operational execution.
This role will be central to creating the foundation for standardized pricing frameworks, financial analysis, and business reporting across a large and diverse network of veterinary hospitals. The person will lead pricing and FP&A data governance efforts, including data mapping and attribution to build a consistent hierarchy of standardized SKUs, and will ensure data integrity and comparability across multiple Practice Information Management Systems (PIMS).
Key Responsibilities
Data Governance & Standardization
- Implement scalable data mapping architectures and associated reporting to create and maintain standardized hierarchies of SKUs and classifications.
- Develop a data governance plan for mitigating disparate system user permissions.
- Create and maintain exception tracking for sku pricing, charge capture, and other end user non-compliance concerns.
- Lead data attribution and standardization initiatives to ensure consistent and accurate pricing, inventory, and financial data.
- Leverage external sources and qualitative data to strengthen financial and operational models
- Streamline data aggregation for accurate financial rollups and executive reporting
Data Transformation & Integration
- Build and automate data pipelines and transformation workflows to consolidate data from disparate systems.
- Utilize SQL, Alteryx, and Excel to clean, normalize, and prepare data for reporting and analytics.
- Participate in the RFP and vendor selection process as PetVet explores long-term PIMS, data management and analytics partners.
Reporting & Analytics
- Partner with the Pricing team to design algorithmic and conditional workflows in Alteryx, setting ranges, thresholds, and logic for pricing and financial models.
- Develop dynamic dashboards and reports in Tableau Cloud and Power BI to support pricing analytics, performance tracking, and FP&A forecasting.
- Apply machine learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) concepts to enhance pricing strategy, forecasting, and operational insights.
- Build sensitivity tables to model price vs. build elasticity and margin impacts across scenarios.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Communication across functions such as Marketing, Operations and others to capture functional KPI’s within reporting dashboards to analyze performance and productivity
- Collaborate with DVMs and medical professional teams as needed to contextualize data inputs, ensuring models and outputs align with veterinary standards and best practices
- Collaborate with IT to align data structure and integration strategies with enterprise systems.
