Veterinary Housekeeper (Part-Time)
Tasks include but not limited to:
- Perform daily cleaning of hospital rooms and exterior grounds including
- Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming hospital and office floors
- Laundry
- Trash collection
- Restocking supplies
- Cleaning hospital grounds including dog walking lot removal of trash, feces and cigarette debris
- Ensuring cages and runs including drains, grates and padding are cleaned daily and as needed
- Reporting any broken equipment or hazardous situations to Hospital Manager or other Supervisor
- Clean public and employee restrooms
- Other hospital cleaning, maintenance projects as needed
Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent combination of education, and/or experience.
- Must have relevant veterinary experience
- Preferably with at least 1 year of experience in the veterinary field or in a veterinary related program
- Able to do tasks that may involve extended periods standing and/or walking.
- Must be able to perform some moderately physically demanding work, involving lifting, bending, pushing, pulling or carrying up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to work around sick animals, cleaning chemicals, and unpleasant odors
Schedule:
- Part-Time, Swing Shift
- Monday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday from 4:00pm-10:00pm
