Kennel Attendant

Animal Medical Center of Cumming is hiring kennel assistants. We are looking for hard working, confident, and enthusiastic people to join our team. We are a veterinary hospital with a large boarding/kennel facility. We provide boarding, playtimes and daycare services. Kennel assistants responsibilities will include:

  • Walking dogs
  • Ability to oversee multiple dogs in an outside setting for playtimes.
  • Providing fresh food and water.
  • Cleaning animal waste, spilled food and other debris from kennel.
  • Checking dogs/cats in for boarding, playtime, and daycare.
  • Taking animals to and from the kennel.
  • Bathing
  • Be able to read body language and/or signs of aggression.
  • Ensuring safety of everyone.
  • Assisting other hospital staff.
  • Clean, fold, and stock kennel laundry throughout the clinic.
  • Confident in handling animals.

Job Types: Full-time

Salary: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour

  • 10 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Evening shift
  • Holidays
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Cumming, GA 30041: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)
