- Local autonomy with national support
- Career mobility and development opportunities
- A collaborative, inclusive environment where your wellbeing comes first
You care for pets. We care for you.
Position Overview
The Medical Director (MD) is responsible for providing strong leadership for the hospital, managing and mentoring associate veterinarians, and assuring regulatory compliance relating to the practice of veterinary medicine. The MD is also responsible for maintaining an environment of teamwork in which the highest quality veterinary medicine is delivered. In partnership with the hospital leadership team, the MD holds shared responsibility for the financial health of the hospital, directing staff and the overall management of practice operations. The MD also serves as a staff veterinarian in addition to the administrative and leadership duties of the MD role. Effective MDs demonstrate strong work and professional ethics, a positive attitude, and uphold a high standard of patient care. They are part of the foundation upon which successful veterinary practices are built and directly impact and influence hospital culture and morale.
Northside Emergency Pet Clinic (NEPC) is expanding our leadership team! We are a fast-paced, upbeat 24/7 emergency veterinary clinic with an excellent support staff and a highly collaborative environment. Our team genuinely enjoys working together, and it shows: three of our six DVMs have been with NEPC for over 10 years, and many of our support staff members have been with us for 5+ years. We’re seeking a Medical Director to lead our hospital team and uphold our commitment to exceptional patient care while fostering a positive, supportive workplace culture. This is a unique opportunity to help shape the future of a well-established ER clinic and mentor a team of both experienced and newer emergency veterinarians.
Our clinic is located in Westminster, CO, just 15 miles north of Denver and 20 miles southeast of Boulder. This area offers a vibrant lifestyle with excellent restaurants, breweries, fitness centers, and cultural attractions. Outdoor enthusiasts will love the easy access to hiking, biking, and skiing—plus nearby destinations like Rocky Mountain National Park, the Gore Range, and Arapahoe National Forest are just a short drive away.
If you're an experienced ER veterinarian ready to step into a leadership role—or a current Medical Director seeking a new challenge—we’d love to connect. Join us at Northside Emergency Pet Clinic. Love where you live and work!
