RISE DVM / VMD Mentorship Program
RISE Mentorship Program – Veterinarian Opportunity
The RISE Mentorship Program is a year-long immersive experience designed to support new veterinary graduates as they transition from an academic setting into the “real world” of clinical practice.
RISE Centers pair new graduate veterinarians with experienced mentors to provide:

Real-time case management

Professional development opportunities
Participants also join a nationwide cohort of peers, building a supportive network that lasts well beyond the program.
Who is this program for?

New veterinary graduates eager to practice high-quality medicine and grow their clinical skills in a supportive, real-world setting.

Candidates interested in working in General Practice (GP), Emergency (ER), or Mixed Animal Practices (depending on location availability).
What does this program offer?

Full-time employment in a RISE Center with hands-on mentorship, while gradually transitioning to independently managing a caseload.

Dual Mentorship Model: On-site support from a “home hospital” mentor plus centralized guidance from the national mentorship team.

Diverse Caseload: Our location allows us to provide much more than just wellness care. The nearest specialty and emergency centers are in Salt Lake City, Utah, about 3 hours away, making our clinic a hub for a wide range of exciting cases. Our veterinarians have developed specialized areas of interest, which we actively support and encourage.

Mentorship and Professional Growth: Our experienced veterinarians are eager to mentor newer grads, particularly in emergency surgeries like splenectomies, foreign bodies, GDV, and C-sections, as well as orthopedic surgeries like torn CCLs, luxating patellas, and fractures.

Low Turnover and Strong Support Staff: We boast a 4:1 tech-to-doctor ratio, with many of our technicians having been with us for over a decade.

Idexx in-house laboratory

Digital radiography

Wisonic ultrasound

CO₂ surgical laser

Orthopedic and advanced soft tissue surgery equipment
Our small animal surgery suite includes one of our three digital radiography machines and a dedicated technician to monitor patients during surgery.
Compensation
Salary: $100,000 – ProSal opportunities are available
