ER/ICU Veterinary Technician
PetVet Care Centers' New England Veterinary Center & Cancer Center is currently seeking an ER/ICU Veterinary Technician to join their team!
At PetVet Care Centers, our mission is to improve the lives of animals and people — providing exceptional and compassionate care at every stage — for all the moments that matter.
Because life is better with pets.
We deliver the Ultimate Care Experience — every pet, every client, every time. That starts with a Culture of Care that supports our team members as much as the pets and clients we serve.
With more than 420 locally led hospitals and over 11,000 team members nationwide, we offer:
- Local autonomy with national support
- Career mobility and development opportunities
- A collaborative, inclusive environment where your wellbeing comes first
You care for pets. We care for you.
We’re looking for an ER/ICU Veterinary Technician who loves fast-paced medicine, teamwork, and caring for people as much as pets.
At NEVCCC, we prioritize high-quality care, emotional wellness, and a supportive team culture. We show up for each other, communicate openly, and always strive to practice with kindness—especially when cases are tough.
What You’ll Do
- Triage and stabilize patients
- Place IV catheters, draw blood, run in-house diagnostics
- Monitor critical patients and assist with emergency procedures
- Administer medications, CRIs, and blood products
- Provide clear, compassionate updates to clients
- Help maintain a clean, safe, calm ICU environment
What We’re Looking For
- 1+ year of veterinary technician experience (ER preferred but not required)
- Strong phlebotomy, catheter placement, and nursing skills
- Comfort with fast-paced, emotionally charged situations
- Kindness, teamwork, and a steady, supportive presence
- Experienced and/or credentialed technicians highly encouraged to apply.
- In the absence of significant experience, if you want to learn and have a good attitude and work ethic we would also love to talk to you. We love to teach!
Why NEVCCC
- A genuinely collaborative team
- Strong focus on mental health and sustainable schedules
- Hands-on training and opportunities to grow advanced ER/ICU skills
- Competitive pay, benefits, and CE support
If you want to practice great medicine alongside kind, grounded people, we’d love to meet you!
