About NWAES
We are an AAHA accredited ophthalmology center near Seattle and consist of two locations – Kirkland and Renton (16 miles apart). We have been in practice for over 20 years and currently have 3 board-certified veterinary ophthalmologists. Each location is well-established and has a diverse and robust caseload. We are looking for a team member that will care for their patients and clients in the most professional and caring manner possible.
We have state-of-the-art equipment at both locations including diode endolaser units, Zeiss operating microscopes, phacoemulsification units, slit-lamp biomicroscopes, binocular indirect ophthalmoscopes, direct ophthalmoscopes, Tono-Pen and TonoVet tonometers, gonioscopic lenses, computerized ERG equipment, ocular ultrasound, nitrous oxide cryosurgical units, nerve stimulators, CO2 lasers, end-tidal CO2 monitors, direct & indirect blood pressure monitors, ventilators and sevoflurane anesthesia.
Geographic location
Both hospitals are located near the edges of Lake Washington with just the lake separating us from the city of Seattle. We have incredible access to hiking, biking, water sports, and the mountains all nearby. There is excellent diversity of restaurants, entertainment, and arts and culture including Chihuly Glass & Gardens, the Space Needle, Seattle Arts Museum, and the Seattle Symphony. Kirkland and the surrounding cities have some of the best schools in the country so it is an excellent place to raise a family!
