Pacific and Santa Cruz Veterinary Specialist Patient Care Unit Veterinary Technician (Day and Swing)
Exciting opportunities available to join a busy 24/7 Emergency and specialty practice. At PSCVS we have 10 plus emergency doctors, 2 criticalists, 4 board certified surgeons, 3 internal medicine doctors, 1 oncologists and a part time cardiologists. If you love advocating for patients as much as our team does, as well as learning new things daily (we always have interesting cases) then we are the team for you. Take a walk on your lunch down to the park or a short drive to the beach where you can sit, enjoy the sun and take time for yourself.
Our ER and Patient care unit tech works closely with the doctors and ICU techs to provide excellent patient care. Must be self-motivated, detail oriented and organized to ensure that patients are receiving treatments on time and accurately. This position requires a knowledge of pharmaceuticals and to be able to identify the signs of concern in patients.
*Our patient care unit oversees hospitalized patients that are recovering from surgery, oversees ISO patients and assists with ICU patients when needed. A knowledge of surgeries and post op care is a plus.
