Veterinary Technician
Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate is calm under pressure, thrives in a dynamic environment, and is committed to patient care and client communication.
Responsibilities:
- Triage incoming emergency patients and communicate effectively with clients and the veterinary team
- Assist in stabilization procedures including catheter placement, oxygen therapy, CPR, and wound care
- Monitor and manage critical patients, including administration of medications and fluid therapy
- Operate and maintain medical equipment (e.g., oxygen cages, infusion pumps, monitors)
- Perform laboratory procedures such as bloodwork, urinalysis, and cytology
- Maintain accurate medical records and treatment logs
- Support veterinarians during diagnostics and treatments
Requirements:
- Minimum 1–2 years of emergency experience
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong communication, organizational, and technical skills
- Compassionate and professional demeanor with clients and team members
