Lead Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)
Rancho Park Veterinary Clinic

 

Sign-On Bonus: $2,500 for qualified full-time LVT/CVT/RVT candidates
Bonus paid in two installments (after 60 days and 6 months of successful employment).

Position Overview

Rancho Park Veterinary Clinic is seeking an experienced Lead RVT to help guide our technical team and support high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate is a confident leader with strong dental and surgical skills, capable of supporting doctors, mentoring staff, and ensuring smooth daily hospital operations.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Lead, support, and mentor the technical team; assist with scheduling, workflow, and training.
    Perform dental procedures, including dental radiographs, prophylaxis, and assisting with oral surgery.
  • Assist with surgical preparation, anesthesia monitoring, recovery, and use of specialized equipment.
  • Conduct patient assessments, perform diagnostics, collect samples, and support veterinarians during exams.
  • Deliver nursing care: vital signs, medication administration, bandaging, wound care, and patient monitoring.
  • Maintain clean, safe treatment areas and ensure proper patient husbandry.
  • Fill prescriptions, document controlled substances, and maintain accurate medical records.
  • Communicate patient updates to clients as directed by the veterinarian.
  • Maintain equipment, sterilize instruments, and follow all safety and regulatory protocols.
  • Manage inventory and order supplies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Key Qualifications

  • Active Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license (required)
  • Must be able to lead and supervise a team
  • Demonstrated experience in dentals and surgery
  • Strong technical skills in anesthesia, radiology, and patient nursing
  • Professional communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work with sick or stressed animals and handle physical job demands (lifting up to 50 lbs)
  • Flexible availability, including potential weekends and holidays

Schedule

  • Full-time, daytime position
  • Monday–Friday; weekend shifts may be needed in the future
  • Typical hours: 7:30/8:00 AM–4:30/5:00 PM

Pay Range
$30$35 USD
