Receptionist

Pets on Broadway Animal Hospital  – Client Service Representative (CSR)

You are the first and the last person our clients interact with meaning you are the face of Pets on Broadway.  You are to always be kind, courteous and caring even when faced with difficult and sometimes frustrating situations.  Good customer care starts with you.

Essential Functions:

  • Answering the phones, directing calls, taking and directing messages, gathering pertinent information, making appointments, canceling appointments and maintaining a 5 line phone system including the voice mail.
  • Checking in appointments, including Dr. appointment’s, grooming, boarding, surgeries and dentals and verifying and gathering the information needed for each different services.
  • Patient restraint and in room help when needed.
  • Checking out appointments and receiving payment for services rendered.
  • Locating patient information and transferring it when needed.
  • Retail sales.
  • Marinating the cash drawer.
  • Balancing and reconciling the payments at the end of every day.
  • Communication throughout the hospital starts at the front desk as well. If you are given information, it is important to pass that information on to the other departments involved.
  • Reviewing the faxes and emails and ensuring they get to the appropriate department or individual.
  • Scanning all patient information into Cornerstone.
  • Ensuring that patients have adequate vaccines needed for the appointments. Retrieving those vaccine dates/medical histories when needed, then scanning missing information into Cornerstone.
  • Anticipate the needs of those around you.
  • Cleaning each exam room after each patient/client.
  • Maintaining a clean lobby, front desk and retail area.
  • Cleaning the glass on the front doors and in the exam rooms when needed.
  • Taking the front trash out to the dumpster every night at the end of your shift. This includes the trash from the break room, exam rooms, offices, retail and the front desk.
  • With POB being an AAHA certified hospital, you are required to perform a documented 15 hours of continuing education (CE) every 2 years while working here. Please provide this documentation to your hospital manager.

 

Pay Range
$18.81$20 USD
