Internal Communications Program Manager - Remote
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Internal Communications Program Manager to execute and coordinate key communication programs and special projects. This role works closely with department leaders and subject matter experts to translate approved strategies into timely, accurate, and engaging deliverables.
In conjunction with Head of Internal Communications and Employment Brand leader, the Program Manager will implement high-impact initiatives such as managing key communication channels (including company-wide mailboxes and newsletters), executing social media content based on approved plans, and coordinating enterprise-wide projects that connect team members, celebrate achievements, and reinforce our Culture of Care. Success in this role requires exceptional organization, a strong focus on follow-through, and a commitment to delivering high-quality outputs on schedule.
Signature Programs You Will Execute
- Company-Wide Newsletter – Coordinate content gathering, prepare layouts, and distribute in alignment with the established editorial calendar and guidelines.
- Shared Mailboxes & Key Channels – Administer daily communications, ensuring timely responses and consistency with approved messaging.
- Social Media Content Execution – Create, schedule, and post approved content to highlight team member experiences and culture, in partnership with Marketing, Talent Acquisition and Culture leaders.
- Enterprise Campaign Rollouts – Implement campaign plans as directed, coordinating assets, timelines, and deliverables across multiple teams.
- Process Documentation & Tools – Maintain and update templates, guidelines, and resources to streamline communication delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Program & Project Coordination
- Implement communication initiatives in partnership with Internal Communications leadership and other stakeholders.
- Coordinate special projects, ensuring deadlines, deliverables, and quality standards are consistently met.
- Track project milestones and proactively flag risks to on-time delivery.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, schedules, and status reports.
Content Development & Distribution
- Draft and edit clear, engaging, and brand-aligned communications based on approved strategies and content outlines.
- Format and distribute content through assigned channels, ensuring accessibility and consistency.
- Gather information, assets, and approvals from subject matter experts to complete deliverables.
Team Member Culture & Engagement Support
- Prepare and distribute communications that highlight team member stories, milestones, and achievements.
- Support execution of engagement activities, recognition programs, and cultural initiatives by coordinating logistics, preparing materials, and posting updates across channels.
- Ensure all deliverables reflect our Culture of Care and promote inclusivity and connection.
Stakeholder Support & Coordination
- Managing the intake process and project management for departments requesting communications support and assist with identifying cross-department impacts (updating intranet, team member handbook, etc.).
- Provide regular status updates on deliverables, timelines, and outcomes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent and timely communication delivery.
Measurement & Continuous Improvement
- Track and report engagement metrics for assigned channels and projects.
- Gather feedback from stakeholders and team members to identify opportunities to improve processes and outputs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of experience in internal communications, corporate communications, or project/program management.
- Strong writing, editing, and formatting skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience coordinating with diverse stakeholders and balancing multiple deadlines.
- Proficiency with common communications tools (Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Canva, or similar).
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with social media platforms for employer branding and internal engagement.
- Experience with newsletter platforms, survey tools, or intranet management.
- Basic design skills for creating communication assets.
