Position Overview
- We are currently seeking a Campus Recruiter to join our team and support our hiring efforts for the PetVet RISE program. Reporting to the Campus Program Manager, the Campus Recruiter will play a crucial role in identifying and attracting top veterinary doctor talent from key target schools.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Campus Program Manager to develop and implement a comprehensive campus recruitment strategy for the PetVet Hospital New Graduate Mentorship Program.
- Build and maintain relationships with target schools, faculty, career centers, and student organizations to increase PetVet's visibility and engagement.
- Plan and execute campus events, including career fairs, information sessions, workshops, conferences, and networking events, to promote PetVet as the employer of choice.
- Conduct presentations and engage in meaningful conversations with prospective candidates, showcasing the unique opportunities offered by the PetVet Hospital New Graduate Mentorship Program.
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates through effective sourcing techniques, such as resume screening, interviewing, and assessing candidates' skills and qualifications.
- Coordinate and manage the interview process, including scheduling interviews, conducting on- campus and virtual interviews, and facilitating post-interview feedback.
- Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process by providing timely and clear communication, addressing questions and concerns, and guiding candidates through each stage.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as HR, hospital operations, and hiring managers, to align recruitment efforts with business needs and ensure a seamless onboarding process for new hires.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in campus recruitment, continuously seeking ways to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the program.
- Create content for social media posts promoting PetVet’s campus initiatives and student
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in campus recruitment, preferably within the veterinary or human healthcare services industry.
- Proven track record of building successful relationships with target schools and cultivating a strong network within the campus recruiting community.
- Strong understanding of the veterinary profession and familiarity with veterinary education programs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with students, faculty, and other stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organizational and project management skills.
- Proficient in using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment tools to manage candidate data and track recruitment metrics.
- Flexibility to travel to various campuses and veterinary conferences as required, with frequent weekend travel during the fall and spring. Travel estimated to be 30% of job requirement.
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
- Campus recruiting experience within the veterinary or human healthcare services industry.
