Veterinary Medical Director
Our Medical Director, Dr. Mike Hellman, is retiring. And while we are excited for his wonderful future, We are looking for an Experienced Medical Director to join our team at River Oak Veterinary Hospital in Riverbank, California. River Oak has been a staple of the Riverbank, California community and surrounding areas for over 50 years. Riverbank is a town of about 20,000 just outside of Modesto which has 200,000 residents. We are known for agriculture (dairy, almonds, grapes, poultry), Gallo winery, and cool evening Delta breezes.
The River Oak support staff team, most of whom were born and raised in the area and have relationships with the clients, is extremely experienced with technician experience levels ranging from 4-16 years. They are ready to help you practice quality, comprehensive medicine and provide top notch patient care and client service. At our veterinary hospital in Riverbank, Our team shares a passion for making and keeping your pets well. Our team loves volunteering together and participating in team building events like rafting, Giants games, movies, and holiday parties. We are very supportive of people who are looking to grow their veterinary careers. Everyone works together, we love new ideas or are always open to different ways of doing things, forever learning. Our hospital, an excellent place to work with a highly skilled team focused on the "best in practice" care, is open Monday –Friday 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM. We enjoy a steady flow of new and established clients, including long term clients who have been coming here 20-30 years (some are 4th generation!). Our hospital is equipped with a new ultra sound unit, a new x-ray unit, and a new dental suite with state-of-the-art dental x-ray machine!

Our compensation packages for experienced full-time veterinarians includes:
- Salary: $160,000 - $185,000 OTE
- Amazing paid time off package
- Generous Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance
- Full benefits package, including but not limited to: Quality health, dental, vision disability, liability insurance, 401k with company contribution, including reimbursement and time off for CE & license fees and more
