Southwest Florida Veterinary Specialists is seeking a skilled and motivated Cardiology Veterinary Technician to join our growing specialty team. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with a board-certified cardiologist while providing advanced care to patients with cardiac disease.
We are looking for a technician who thrives in a fast-paced specialty environment, values teamwork, and is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities
- Assist with echocardiography procedures
- Perform and record electrocardiograms (ECGs)
- Place and educate clients on Holter monitors
- Monitor patients during cardiac diagnostics and procedures
- Prepare patients for cardiac interventions and procedures
- Administer medications and assist with treatment plans
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
- Educate clients on cardiac medications and home care
- Work collaboratively with veterinarians and hospital staff
Qualifications
- Certified/Licensed Veterinary Technician preferred (CVT/LVT/RVT)
- Experience in cardiology, emergency, or specialty medicine preferred
- Ability to remain calm and organized in critical situations
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Schedule: Tuesday through Friday from 8am to 6pm
