Staff Accountant
Company Description:
PetVet Care Centers owns and operates more than 420 general, specialty, emergency and equine veterinary hospitals, offering a full range of medical and surgical services for animals.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist with the month-end close process by preparing journal entries and performing routine account reconciliations
- Support balance sheet account analysis and help ensure the accuracy of financial data
- Assist with audit-related requests by gathering schedules and documentation
- Support day-to-day cash processes, including reviewing daily banking transactions
- Help maintain the Company’s Cash Portal by communicating with hospital staff to answer questions and provide guidance
- Assist with bank reconciliations and support the resolution of payment or banking inquiries across the organization
- Support ad-hoc accounting projects and process improvement efforts as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
- Internship or relevant coursework preferred
Essential Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work collaboratively with Finance, IT, and field teams
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills with a willingness to learn
- Proactive, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
